FlavaKids and 51 Flavas are proud to share their love of dance through performances across the community and beyond. Take a look at some of the incredible places they've performed, then read below to learn more about our performing groups and how you can be part of the experience.
BEYOND THE STUDIO
Our crews, FlavaKids and 51 Flavas, give dancers the opportunity to train, perform, and grow as part of a supportive team. Throughout the season, dancers collaborate to create original productions, giving them the chance to explore their creativity while gaining valuable performance experience. These productions may feature our crews on their own or alongside our companies, providing unique opportunities to collaborate and perform. Along with their annual productions, our crews perform at a variety of community events and professional venues, allowing dancers to share their passion with audiences across Utah.

Our crews have proudly performed at venues and events including the Utah Jazz, Repertory Dance Theatre (RDT), Capitol Theatre, Rose Wagner Performing Arts Center, Westminster University, Maverik Center, the University of Utah, the Festival of Trees, Utah's Hogle Zoo, and the Salt Lake City Stars. These experiences help dancers build confidence, strengthen teamwork and leadership skills, and create lasting memories both on and off the stage.

FLAVAKIDS Breakin' Crew
Flavakids is a Breaking Crew that Concentrates on the first dance of hip hop B-Boying/B-Girling or what the media calls it "breakdancing." We dive deep into the elements that make up the dance style. Toprock and Go downs, Footwork, Power Moves and Freezes.
Flavakids is split into two mini crews. Representatives and Captains. We WORK HARD, HELP EACH OTHER and HAVE FUN all while reaching a goal to become a better B-BOY/B-GIRLS and Humans!
51 FLAVAS
Hip Hop Crew
51 Flavas is a Hip Hop crew that concentrates on the various styles of hip hop. Hip hop dance encompasses a wide range of movements and styles, including breaking, 90's freestyle, funk styles like locking and popping, and club styles like house, among others. Hip hop dance is characterized by its by its improvisational nature, rhythmic expression, and connection to hip hop music.
