Our Story
In 1972 Suzanne Stott began teaching dance to help supplement her husbands teaching salary. Her cliental grew and she eventually had to move from her basement to studio in the Jolley Building. She taught for 35 years, and made a huge impact on the lives of her thousands of students, their families and the community.
In 2007 Suzanne was retiring and my sister convinced me, and another one of our sisters that we needed to buy the studio from her. We had been some of her students and knew first hand the good influence that she had in our lives and in the lives of our friends.
Somethings have changed since Suzanne left, but one thing we hope never changes is how our students are treated. Suzanne taught with love and compassion and made every kid feel important, and we, as The School of Dance staff hope to continue that nobel tradition.
