Kylie Mimitz
Owner
Kylie is a beloved teacher and co-owner of The School of Dance. Kylie loves all things Disney, dance, and travel. Before returning to Utah and joining The School of Dance team as co-owner, she worked at Disney, and lived in New England with her family. Kylie is passionate about making The School of Dance an ever-loving and warm place in which students, families, and staff can grow, move, and become even better versions of themselves. She is so glad you will be joining us this season at The School of Dance, and cannot wait to give you a hug or high five in the hallway this year!

Each staff member is a highly educated artist and dancer. Our faculty share their multifaceted expertise with students in a socially and emotionally intelligent environment.
From Breaking to Ballet, our faculty offer high levels of care, expertise, and warmth in the classroom. They are sure to cultivate your child's sense of belonging through both technical training and emotional support.

Kate Blair is a movement artist and educator from Idaho. She holds a Masters degree in Elementary Education from Westminster College, and teaches Music and Dance at Whittier Elementary. She loves supporting the communication efforts of The School of Dance. Kate finds joy in working as a dance educator in schools throughout the community, adventuring outside, and traveling. She is thrilled to collaborate with families in making The School of Dance a space of belonging for all!

Chacho is a professional dancer, teacher, and choreographer, trained in the styles of B-Boying, Hip Hop and House Dance. His first memory of seeing B-Boying was the movie Breakin’. Chacho is the founder of the Breaking and Hip Hop program at The School of Dance, and has a rich career as a nationally renowned B-Boy dancer and educator. Through the breaking program, Chacho supports students not only with dance but in character building.

Brett (Bboy Soda Pop) began training in Hip Hop and Street Styles in 1998. Throughout his 20 plus years in the dance world he has performed, choreographed, and competed with numerous dance crews and companies throughout the US, Europe, and The Caribbean. Soda appreciates originality and passion for creativity. In addition to his love of dance, Soda is a professional DJ and AV Tech, and has a background in Education.

Maxi found her love of dance at a young age. She is well versed in a multitude of dance styles and foundational techniques. Graduated from The Ohio State University, she holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Dance. In 2020, she relocated to Salt Lake City, Utah. She is now a professional performing artist with SALT Contemporary Dance. Maxi is fully committed to each dance community she is a part of and looks forward to mentoring the artistic capability of today’s young dancers.

Veronica earned her BA in Dance from Brigham Young University, where she danced and choreographed with BYU's DancEnsemble student company. After graduation she moved to Valencia Spain, where she performed and produced her first dance film. She has studied with numerous groups including the Martha Graham Dance Company, Ohad Naharin, Joffrey Ballet, Houston Ballet, and SALT. She can't wait to teach again this season at The School of Dance!

Bayley grew up in Boulder, Colorado, where she attended the Colorado Conservatory of Dance. Her dancing career continued as she graduated from the University of Utah in Modern dance in 2019. Bayley has had the pleasure of attending various workshops in New York and LA, and performs with friends and community art initiatives. Bayley wishes to instill the creativity, cooperation and hard work that dance fosters in each of her students.

Joey is from Salt Lake City and he graduated from BYU with a BA in dance in 2021. After graduating, he danced with SALT Contemporary Dance for a year as an apprentice. Aside from dance, Joey loves rollerblading, picnics, pasta, and swimming. This will be Joey’s third year teaching at The School of Dance and he’s beyond excited to share an amazing year with all of the students!

Isabella Succi was born and began training in Kissimmee, Florida. After graduating from the Osceola County School for the Arts, Isabella began studying at the University of South Florida, where she received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, with a concentration in Ballet, and a minor in Educational Foundations and Research. After graduating, she relocated to Salt Lake City to dance with SALT2. She is honored to be teaching at The School of Dance this season!

Dominick Brown is a mixed-black performing artist and educator based in Salt Lake City, Utah. Originally from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Dominick has taught and worked with students across the United States and in Poland. Dominick received his BFA from The University of The Arts in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Dominick’s studio practice involves diving into and researching the roots of different techniques and sharing the rich history of dance with students.
