Meet Ms. Jody
About Ms. Jody
Ms. Jody graduated with her Bachelor of Science Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from BYU and then did post-Bach work in education again from BYU, receiving a Special Education K-12 degree/license. She worked as a special educator for 6 years in Alpine School District. She worked for Granite School District as a preschool teacher for 2 years and has been teaching for The School of Dance since 2016.
Teaching Philosophy
Young children learn through active exploration in an environment which is rich in opportunities to create, observe, socialize, work, play and negotiate with others. Classrooms should encourage curiosity, exploration and problem solving in an atmosphere of warmth, affection and respect for each child. Lessons should be planned to ensure that each child can interact in the way that they learn best.
